This year’s Lowestoft Vision Pancake Day race is going to be a fantastic race, and local businesses are competing to be named this year’s champions.
After new winners of Kian Leech, Frankie Sibbons and Connor Lewis from Lowestoft Town FC Football Flippers were crowned in March last year, Britian's most easterly pancake races are set to return, with local teams set to compete once again in the town centre on Tuesday, February 21.
As the day draws nearer Danny Steel said: "The Pancake Day race is an annual institution in Lowestoft's town centre events calendar, where visitors, locals, businesses and families alike can come along to cheer on the competitors and their favourite mascots. It's a real crowd pleaser, and we are very excited to once again be hosting the event."
The events will start at noon on London Road North, starting with the popular mascot race as various characters run to the finish line.
When the day comes, local companies will compete in heats as they scramble to flip pancakes and dash the distance, with a final race at the end to determine this year's champion.
